I just ate my favorite breakfast ever, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on a bagel. Mmmm, delicious. It would have been more sublime with capers, but eh. I burned my finger on the pan.

I'm feeling a bit better today, though still zombie. I'm not coughing as much, which means I'm not in as much physical pain. Hate being sick. Hate hate hate.

Eventually I will start writing more interesting entries. Tell me what you are reading. I'm in the midst of The Neutronium Alchemist and it's scaring me to death.

Jim has ordered me to read "Brightness Reef," some sci-fi I've never heard about. I trudged through the first 150 pages and I'm just now getting to understand what the H is going on. But I want to finish it, hopefully by this weekend.

I'm reading Thomas Merton's The Seven Storey Mountain. It's so beautifully written, even though he says some strange things about faith and religion sometimes.

He loves them, too. I think that's why he wanted me to try the next trilogy.

Just started Book 6 of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Have you read it? I'm also finally poking around the latest Harry Potter (I know, I'm slow).

Is The Neutronium Alchemist a horror story? Because I like me some alchemy!

I need to read the newest Jordan. I'm dying to find out what happens.

It's a sci-fi story, truly epic. And really good, as in the best kind of sci-fi.
