That case remains a big deal, and a stark reminder of what happens when the funding for social services and mental health care is slashed to ribbons. Could this have been prevented? Possibly. I don't think one could really say for sure. We're keeping doing what we do though, despite all these horrors. The agency really, truly does struggle do a lot with very little. Everytime something like this happens, we're all sick.

I have to say though, I love my job. Whatever awful things, I love my job.
