spring clean

So I made my bed today, for the first time in my adult life. I can remember doing it as a child, but I never did this in my own home. I just didn't see the point. But my mother bought me this beautiful bedspread for Christmas, so I kinda felt like I wanted to be able to show it off. Not that I ever have anyone in the bedroom these days, but on the off chance. I don't know. but I made the bed, cleaned my room, cleaned up my closet, vacuumed everywhere, cleaned the living room, cleaned up the kitchen, cleared off a ton of crap from my desk, swept the porch, took out trash and generally made things so much more clean than they normally are. Pretty fun.

I also got a package from Kiio on the BPAL forum. She sent me a bunch of soy wax tarts, so I'm burning the eucalyptus one now to make the house smell extra clean. She also sent me a bath bomb, some incense, and some cute satin boxes full of imps. One of them looks like a lipstick case. (I guess, I can't remember the last time I actually wore lipstick.) But it will be perfect for keeping some BPAL in my purse. She also sent tons of chocolate, so I'm well set for candy. The highlight is a fancy organic dark chocolate bar with orange bits inside. Mmmm. She also made me bracelets! How kick ass is that? They are really pretty wirework with beads and glass, one silver and one copper. I totally dig them.

Now that the house is pretty clean, I think I should run some errands. Like getting a stamp for this letter I need to send. Maybe pick up some flowers for the house. Drive around with the windows down and revel in the gorgeous weather. Eat some fish maybe. Play some video games, write a letter, read that new Murakami book sitting on the table. The day is just full of possiblity. It makes me happy.

read that new Murakami book sitting on the table.

Is that Kafka on the Shore, or has he put out another one?

Hi, this is kiio, and I'm really glad you liked the goodies! My husband kept trying to steal your chocolate and I had to be ever vigilant against the little chocolate thief. I was nervous my beading skills were not up to the task, so I'm glad you thought that the bracelets were cool, it encourages me to make more.
