Here we go....

Grey clouds and driving down Mopac singing at the top of my lungs with the windows down and the sprinkles dashing against my arms.. I am really going. Amazing. Forgive me for doubting so much this would actually happen.

Last post. The next time I update my journal I'll be in Prague, probably in a couple days once I find the computer lab in Charles University. Thank you everyone who has sent me kind words and wished me well on my voyage. I'll tell you all about it real soon.

Tomorrow's my birthday, and I'm going to spend it dancing in Prague!! Yay!

I hope you have a stimulating and rewarding experience. If you get a chance, read some Bohrumil Hrabal, a fine Czech writer.

It is one of my favorites as well. I love the tailor shop where they keep the inflatable balloon mannequins with their customers' measurements. From the translation, I imagine it might be quite a jumble to sort out in the original Czech. You may know that his book "Closely Watched Trains" was made into a movie that won the best foreign picture Oscar in, say, 1968 or so. Have a fine time in Prague. If you see him, tell Bo hi.
