I am so much more emotional lately than I want to be. I actually cried when watching the local news about the Christmas drives from Brown Santa and Blue Santa. When did I turn into such a sentimental loon? Gods above. So at some point I think I'll go toy shopping for nameless kids. I think maybe why this makes me so sad is that I wonder how many of them are CPS families. I love the holidays, with the lights and trees and all that jazz. My parents and grandparents always made sure we had Christmas, even when we were dirt poor.

one of my fave Christmas memories was when my mom took us to wrap gifts for Blue Santa for a whole afternoon, there were piles of gifts everywhere and it was such a good feeling! you are already gifting by doing what you do day in and day out for the CPS families.

I've been thinking about doing this, too, especially since there's a Jack Brown very near us and they're collecting for Coats for Kids.
