if I just lay here

if I just lay here
would you lie with me and just forget the world?

January in Texas is a varied month. Today, it was in the high fifties and windy with bright unbroken sunshine. I had a late lunch with Mike, and we ate outside at the Arboretum. It was especially pleasant to sit in the sun wearing flip flops and roll my jeans up to my knees. in search of a place more out of the wind we wandered down to the duck pond. Ducks swimming around, big fat geese and a loud pair of swans circled the water. I saw a turtle bobbing along and a man had his dog leaping in with great splashes to fetch sticks. It felt good in the sun, and made me miss summer. I ate ice cream, cinnamon almond with marshmallows. The sun slid down, finally falling behind. My afternoon was beautiful.

I laughed when I walked inside my home and saw Constantine on the television. It's video games, movies, laundry, and comfort calling late.

That song really makes me cry. It's so bittersweet, for me.

I can see how it could be that way. It is very lovely, sweet without being sappy. For me, it's really happy.

I almost had to pull over on Airport last weekend when it came on.

I've had that moment before.
