we've got a long way to go

threeplusfireSomething I forgot to mention about Saturday: I ended up sitting at a light behind three beige Humvees, kitted out with four soldiers apiece in their fatigues and weapons and helmets. The first truck in the convoy had a big red warning sign on back that red: DANGER EXPLOSIVES. As I'm sitting there waiting for the light to turn, the guys in the Humvee right in front of me suddenly have a Chinese Fire Drill. I kid you not. They jumped out, ran around the truck and changed seats. It was seriously the weirdest, most awesome thing.
Today has been an awesome day. I didn't get dressed or really out of the house until after 4pm.
I have a lot of chocolate from World Market. And a bucket of frozen strawberry alcohol stuff. Hahah.
Mike and I went to see Smokey and the Bandit at the Drafthouse this evening. They had a semi constructed out of boxes and full of Coors in the lobby. ($2!) I drank Shiner. It was pretty awesome, and there was a band playing beforehand. I'd forgotten that Burt Reynolds was so funny.
The cleanser Kirby gave me is nice. It is very mild, and leaves a nice scent of roses. I think I need a big bottle of it.
I wish every day was like today.
