She handed me a glass and that smile stole my heart

Had a nice time talking to Austin LJ people at Mojos this evening. A wild and wacky bunch they are. There was much silliness and good conversation. Even strange connections to be found.

I have fallen madly in love with the girl who was working behind the counter tonight around 7pm. Perhaps it was her beautiful smile, or the fact that she called me sweetie and told me to have a nice day. Maybe it was the good collection of cds she had on the counter. I think her name is Therese. Lovely, absolutely lovely. Oh, I wish I knew how to talk to girls.

Time for sleeping....

I had a really good time too, and I enjoyed talking to you. I really find other people's spiritual beliefs fascinating because I feel like my beliefs are always growing and evolving and I think most people's paths have something to share (and more in common than we often think). I'd love to get together for coffee and conversation sometime again even outside of other Livejournal meetings.

You might enjoy the [livejournal.com profile] spiritualcloset community. It's for open discussion of religious beliefs, especially amongst people who sometimes feel others are less than accepting...

I'm sorry to have missed the fun!
BTW, I got the postcard and it's beautiful!!! I really love it. Thanks again!

Sounds like you had fun! And new crushes are always fabulous! Guess what? I got your postcard the day after we had lunch!! Hahaha!! Isn't that rich??

i used to fall "in love" for a minute at a time on a VERY regular basis. once while working at the life science library (which i hardily recommend for studying if you ever need to get away from the caffiene or the craziness of your apt.), i was distributing books and this fresh faced girl came up to me and asked where the stairs were. i was so smitten. i couldn't get her face out of my head for a solid minute. i'd never been so stuck on one thing for so long in my life... it was a constant smile for a whole minute.

that's my entire goal in yoga these days , to be That focused :)

and i've NEVER seen a girl working at mojos. that's really interesting. though i have had crushes on people there.... :)

Cool. It was quite refreshing to have a conversation in which holy books were not used as battering rams. ;) We should definitely get together again. I'm frequently in my second home/coffee shop, Metro, and I'm always game for coffee. I'd like to hear more about how you found your paticular path as well.

Heh, you would think I would have a slight advantage, being a girl and all that. But no, I'm reduced to foolishly smiling and I can't get a word out. ;)

Great! I've been so worried that postcards wouldn't make it and everyone would be so disappointed in me. Glad you like it. Now go visit!

Hahaha! I'm so glad it finally came. My mom got one the other day too. So maybe all those lost postcards aren't decorating the bedroom walls of some disgruntled, slightly kooky postal employee somewhere.

I don't think I've ever been in the life science library. I keep discovering new buildings on campus, even though I've been hanging out in the University area for almost a decade. Silly me.

I keep falling inlove with girls who serve me coffee. It's a crazy trend. ;)

[identity profile] seitvonzu.livejournal.com 2001-07-15 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
It's in the main building.
so not a "new" building to discovery at all-- you just have to go into a "new" part :) there is a wonderful ex-hippy that masquerades around there as an old crotchedy man. he is really super nice and used to take me on "dates" with his wife present, his name is richard :) he is my hero.

coffee is a strong reinforcer :)

Haha, I actually might do it next summer. I'm thinking about going to see my family in poland for like a month and then go travel around Europe, we'll see...
