Layer Cake

I am honestly surprised that Layer Cake wasn't more of a big hit. I don't remember it being released. But Daniel Craig is wonderful, and the shots are beautifully composed. The soundtrack is amazing. I'm not sure I've seen a gansters and guns and drugs film this good in ages. It is full of menace.

i was one of the few who saw it in theatres, and was quite impressed by it, as i usually am by these underground-ish Brit crime movies. there's just something much more REAL to them than the usual American mainstream junk...

it was very odd hearing everyone saying "there's this unknown guy who's going to play Bond... never heard of him..." all the time. catch up on your Brit flicks, people!

I really like the Brit crime films too. They are rollicking good fun, and witty. the wit is lacking in many American films of the same genre.
