reise, reise pie!

I'm in my kitchen, making a caramel pecan chocolate pie. I'll let you know how it turns out. Corn syrup always makes me wonder, and it seems to be a crocial component of most every pecan pie. But it has a cookie crust I made out oreos I smashed up with a fork because I forgot I don't own a food processor. Hah. But I will say I had forgotten the joy of a kitchen not shaped like a galley, and being able to twirl around with the music up loud and mixing things on a hot stove. It is a good feeling, making up for a day that was over long.
