threeplusfireI woke up early this morning, a few times. The first time it was still dark. My dreams were disjointed and strange. I think missing a couple days of medicine contributed to that. Also, the allergy medication may just be screwing with me. But I made some coffee, and refreshed the screen so I could buy tickets for the Velvet Revolver show at Stubbs. I'll admit, I briefly contemplated the VIP tickets that get you backstage and to meet the band. Then I came to my senses, realized that I was no longer 13 and in love with Slash, and that $300 was pretty excessive for one night. (Okay, maybe I'm still a little in love with him. Give me a break, I was a teenager. Though now that I think about it, the last time I saw Slash play I was twelve and that was a long, long time ago.)
There's laundry I am ignoring. Mostly. I did find a bag to pack all of my beads and whatnot in for easier storage and transport up and down the stairs at the mood strikes. I really need to get to work on my books and try to clean that mess up. It just sort of overwhelms me. I'm waiting for a day where I am full of boundless energy & desire to clean (shut up, it does happen) or a day where I'm so panicky that I need some hard labor to keep my mind blank.
Here is a picture of our new chair. Ours however is a crimson color and looks quite nice in our living room. It is very comfortable. So much so that it kept me from doing anything productive last night. It was a wedding present from Mike's parents, which was very sweet and thoughtful. I like that they gave us a practical present, while I asked my mother to give us something impractical which turned out to be glasses and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. I can remember my parents drinking that on their anniversary every year.
