insomnia strikes again

Inside American Jail is interesting. It seems they have picked a set of cities to feature, including Tulsa OK, Portland OR, Tampa FL and the lovely Austin TX. I like to watch the process, bare bones and stripped down, without the histrionics of television drama. There are things I had never thought about before, such as how the officers are all wearing latex gloves. Watching them handle and finesse the numerous intoxicated and belligerent individuals reminds me I am fundamentally unsuited for a career in law enforcement. I don't think I would have the composure of some of the officers I see.

I'm busy next Tuesday, and on Thursdays would have to do a late lunch (1pm) because of my knitting group. Pretty much any other day/time is fine.

Coincidentally, I tried a ground lamb kebab recipe tonight that turned out pretty good, and the feta/Greek yogurt spread for it was way way better than I'd been expecting.
