threeplusfireI slept until after three this afternoon, which is crazy to me. My parents were never the kind to sleep late, even on weekends, so it was not a skill I learned. Even staying up all night, I hardly ever slept past noon. Oh well. I did my one important errand and now I'm back at home with Koshka.
The last panel of today's Questionable Content comic made me laugh so hard my stomach hurts.
I do have a raging headache, which is probably from not having any caffeine/medicine until late in the afternoon. Ow. I checked the mail and we have new discs of the first season of Oz to watch. It was one of those shows I never got around to watching when it aired, mostly because I didn't have HBO. It is still weirding me out to see JK Simmons as the scary Aryan Nation leader, because I think of him as Dr. Skoda from Law & Order. Mike and I have decided it's HBO's AU universe, where Carmela (Edie Falco) had to go to work as a prison guard instead of marrying Tony Soprano. Then there's Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), who ends up as an inmate instead of a detective.
Today I discovered one of the most horrid little things one can do while shaving. I accidentally sliced into my fingernail with the razor. Ow, ow, ow. It's not a serious injury but it hurts and weirds me out like nothing else.
