threeplusfire: (red apple book)

I tried poking around LJ last night using the search feature but didn't have much success. Surely someone on my friendslist has an answer or can at least point the way. I'm looking for some kind of writing community that posts challenges/prompts, and people can share what they have written. I've found quite a few that are fandom oriented, but I was hoping to find something where I could do original fiction and/or nonfiction writing.

Lately I feel as though I've fallen into a black hole and no words can escape. I haven't written anything all summer. I find myself staring at the screen with mounting anxiety and annoyance.

Suggestions? It doesn't have to be on livejournal necessarily though I'm looking for something online. I looked at a couple local writer groups and didn't think any of them seemed like a good fit.

Someone else on my f-list is using some kind of LJ writers' block question-of-the-day. I found the archive of questions here, but I'm not sure how to subscribe to it:

Here.

This site is run by a couple of people who are in my writing group. We are a bunch of NaNo-er's in NW Austin and you're welcome to join us if you like (I can e-mail you exact details). We have a website where you can post your work and get critiques.

I'm in write_away & write_on_this - def. not fandom-based. I haven't been writing much lately though so I couldn't say how frequently they provide challenges.

I really adore [livejournal.com profile] 31_days, which has a prompt for each day, and organizes them by month. Fanfiction and original are welcome.
