threeplusfireMelynda finally had a day off work in which she wasn't driving to or from Houston, and she wanted to swim. Our pool is not very deep, probably only about four feet at most. But it is on the edge of the complex, away from all the buildings and surrounded by trees. Very pretty place.
The three of us bobbed around the water, talking about 80s music and random topics. A pleasant afternoon. Came in to eat Patriotic Cookies (sugar cookies with white icing and red & blue sprinkles). Watched the end of an old Ronald Reagan and Doris Day film, and The Matrix. Saturday afternoon, indeed.
I saw that movie with Kevin on a Saturday, because he had free tickets and there wasn't much else playing. Cold theater, hot day, good friend. We had a lot of fun. I miss him. I really do. Almost enough to make me want to trek out to California.
