Oh hi there

It has been hard to think of much to say lately. Perhaps I'm just still tired from guests and Thanksgiving. The ham bone is burbling away in the stock pot right now. I've this crazy idea to make a stock and use it in a baked potato soup, with cheese and bacon bits and chives.

Both the kitties are sitting peacefully on the rug. Most of my day is taken with breaking up scuffles. The problem is Pumpkin won't leave Jasmine alone in the litterbox. How many times do I have to say that no one wants anyone watching them pee? (Not applicable if that's your fetish.) She's grown more accustomed to the house though, and likes to sit in Mike's lap.

I read two books on Monday, and one yesterday. Monday I spent most of my morning at the dealership, fixing a very expensive problem with the ignition system. The extended warranty thankfully covered most of it. I feel behind on everything this week since however. My calendar seems too full by far this month.

Behold, tiny fluffy lap kitty:

This was Thanksgiving - ham, borscht, green beans, and cheese biscuits.

BORSCHT WANT.
I actually made a fairly kickass vegetarian borscht (sacrilege, I know) a couple weeks ago. I need to write down the recipe before I forget it.

My kitty is finally learning that she can jump up on the desk and lay down on my papers/books and bat at my pen while I write.

You already know this, but maybe a second litter box? Even in our old house, we had two that were placed so one cat couldn't possibly 'guard' both of them at the same time.

Thank you! I really love those dishes. The purplish red was amazing.

Maybe. We had the idea (one day) to screen in the back porch and provide a cat door, so we could let them go out there as well.

I've seen vegetarian borscht recipes, and for some reason they often involve apples. Apples are no substitute for short ribs! :P

Aww kitty.
