This question was rejected because it was primarily about inventory and had a customer service complaint.

"Why can't I purchase White Rain hairspray online?

We use this in an industrial application. I buy at the Super Wal-Mart but they do not keep sufficient stock. I have asked the manager in the department to order cases each month but they have not done this. I would buy two cases a month but end up driving from store to store to find it."

All I find myself thinking is... what industrial application does this person need two cases of hairspray for? Please make your suggestions in the comments below.

I'm guessing they make those ultra-plastic Reagan and Nixon masks and nothing gives a shine like White Rain?

I actually concur with the various fixative ideas. I've seen my dad do stuff that cracky with advertising comps and the like.

Ooooh oooooh I know I know! It's a new car dealership and they're too cheap to buy the industrial shiny stuff to spray on the tires.

No?

I would have some much more exciting theories if this was AquaNet.

We used it to gum up bees' wings so they won't swarm when you're trying to get rid of a bee/wasp nest.

Maybe the author of this question is one of the following:

1. A producer of the musical production "Hairspray" and needs the props;
2. A hairspray addict with a 10-can-a-day habit;
3. A designer/dresser for the local drag club.

Whether they are 1, 2, or 3, my main question is:

Why in the hell aren't they going straight to White Rain themselves and order them on-line?!!!!

Hair spray is a cheap spray waterproofer.

Or am I not supposed to make a serious suggestion? : )

My question is why does it have to be White Rain?

Hm. About a bazillion years ago, my mother used to use Breck's hairspray as a cheap spray glue to do layout with. Other than that I got nothin'.

They do background explosion/hissing/fire noises for Einsturzende Neubaten?

The first thing that came to MY mind, was they run a pine tree farm, and hairspray is one of the better ways of keeping needles on and looking perky.

That is a very good question indeed.
