books
Books, books, books. I love them. I have enormous quanitities of books at home, everything from Russian textbooks to biographies of strange 19th and 20th century figures to a plethora of the best modern speculative fiction to a half dozen different translations of Crime & Punishment. I love books. The only time I have not loved books was while working at Half Price, when crazy customers brought in boxes of moldering, silverfish infested boxes of dead books.

beads
I love shiny objects too. Beads are great, though I have to remember not to put them in my mouth. They are not for eating.

pears
Pears have an inherently sorrowful quality to them that I love.

cooking
I enjoy cooking. Mostly it is a spur of the moment thing for me. I'm the opposite of what a good baker should be because I'm so reckless and never measure things right or plan ahead. But it works and that makes me happy.

Texas
Oh home of mine, we have a hard relationship. I hated you and wanted to dump you for a long time. I ignored all your beautiful qualities. These days I try to do a better job of treating your right and appreciating you, even while we fix up the broken parts.

good list! lucy and you have something in common with the beads-- some of them really do look like candy though! (and as my mother points out, "wood tastes good" --this is literal, not sexual ;), so yeah, wood beads = tasty too)
