Apparently Stone Temple Pilots is putting on a tour. How they can deal with Scott Weiland right now is beyond me. When we saw Velvet Revolver, the show went on an hour late and Weiland was clearly fucked up out of his mind. I couldn't blame the band for kicking him out. Must have felt like shades of Axl.

This is probably the most hilarious thing I've read all day, from a review of a recent STP show:
Scott: get off the drugs. If it's not drugs, meet someone who can cut your hair. You looked like a smack addict version of Hitler with that combover.

Other notes:
- Complaints about Green Day using profanity are ridiculous. Won't someone please think of the children?!?!?

- Why would you take a toddler to see Motley Crue? Really?

- Bob Dylan mumbles. He's been mumbling for a few decades now. It's a little late to start complaining about that.

- If you have no babysitter and amazing tickets to Cirque du Soleil, then I understand taking your infant with you. But refusing to walk outside of the room when the baby has been screaming for at least thirty minutes during the show is kind of rude to the people around you. Those tickets aren't cheap.

I... what? Complaining about language at a Green Day concert? I have no words. When the CDs and the download page on iTunes say that there is EXPLICIT LANGUAGE on the album, you are guaranteed explicit language at the show. If you don't want to hear it, don't buy a ticket or don't buy tickets for your kids. It's pretty simple.

Back in my Other Life when I lived in L.A., we used to go to a little bar around the corner from Capitol Records on Fridays after work. Weiland used to come in (and this was when STP was just breaking big--I'm definitely dating myself here) and play his own songs on the jukebox. Then he would act all pissy and irritated that "someone" was playing STP! Poor guy was such a douchebag that I can hardly muster any amount of sympathy for him at all anymore.
