Way to have mixed metaphors. When I read this aloud to Mike, he exclaimed "Vampires don't have covens!" The hiccups, they have nearly killed me.

Imagine you manage a coven of baseball-playing vampires. The Cullen family is really strong this year and you want to bring in a ringer. Which currently active MLB baseball player do you sire?

Seriously? SERIOUSLY LIVEJOURNAL?

I was going to say something, but I think [livejournal.com profile] sykii said it for me.

Have you actually managed to read or watch Twilight? Maybe the sparkly vampires do have covens. And there was that vampire movie The Covenant, which sounds close enough to confuse people who don't, you know, actually have much of a vocabulary.

But FWIW I vote that they sire the ones who are always getting accused of steroids, because if they were vamps they'd have to drop out of sight and it would be one less ridiculous thing taking up time on the evening news.

I read the first book, out of morbid curiosity, sometime early last year. It was just so badly written. I could see how maybe if you were a hormonal, lonely, teenager that maybe it could appear - especially if you grew up with the idea that men should stalk and control every woman around.

The Covenant! Oh so bad candy afternoon movie treat.

I think you move is a good one.
