I'm re-acquainting myself with the source material for my Yuletide assignment. It's something I've known and loved a long time, so it was a pleasant surprise. I think it might actually be something I do well too. Exciting.

After reading a couple other Dear Yuletide Writer letters, I feel as if I perhaps didn't give enough information. I really didn't want to be overwhelming in specificity. I just want a story melancholy and lovely like an overcast winter sky.

It's cold today and I don't seem to have any matching socks. I don't know how that happened. I suppose I will have to buy socks.

Plans for ambitious baking and cooking percolate in my head. I am going to make some bread. A chocolate cherry cream pie. Stuffed poblanos.

Or you could make yourself some socks... http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/step-by-step-socks

Crochet ones I think probably don't fit into a shoe very well, but you could wear them with Birks, or just in stocking feet around the house. I can't wait to get started on my own slipper socks. =)

I don't participate in Yuletide, but my very favorite episode of The Dead Zone is going to be on next week, the one that confirms my Johnny/Bruce love. I always look forward to any DZ fic that might come of yultide.
