My thoughts are in a dozen different places and I find it hard to write any of it down. I feel very depressed and I am trying to work through that, since I can identify some of the causes. Oh memory, you are so painful. Sometimes I wish I could store them all up and box them away like a bunch of usb flash drives on a key ring.

It all makes it very hard to concentrate on work.

This. So much this. If I could just put everything away and only pull it out when I had time to deal with the mental energy I could get through my days so much easier.
