nimbus

It's weird to lean over and see the slowly growing nimbus of short hair on my scalp. It seems like a lot of effort to keep it shaved completely. (Especially since I gave up shaving my legs awhile back. Too much effort for too little return.) I suppose I'll let it grow a little bit, shave it all off again, lather, rinse, repeat.

I look so much more like my father. I sort of like that.

My scalp has felt really oily. I wonder if it is because it is all disturbed by sunlight. My skin in generally has been extra oily for whatever reason. I need to find some new soap to wash my head. Shampoo doesn't seem entirely useful if I don't have hair.

Squishable narwhal arrived today! Narwhal needs a name.

Last night I wrote a couple pages of James Bond fic. It needs work and is not done. But it is a start. Then I couldn't sleep and spent those early morning hours somewhat nauseated. My joints ached, and I wonder if it was the storms and the change in air pressure.

I was behind on LJ reading but now I can say Happy Birthday! and also, your new 'do looks AWESOME. You look beautiful with a shaved head.

Your scalp is probably used to dispersing all its oil to your hair. Now there is nothing to absorb it. It will probably calm down in a week or two.

Thank you! I was so nervous, but once it was done I was so glad I didn't stop out of nerves.

About the scalp - I certainly hope so! My hair has always been prone to getting oily fast. I am tempted to use one of those clay face mask things on my head.
