warden Aiko

I have yet to find any Dragon Age LJ icons that I like. Grr, argh.

Dragon Age is a sort of grim game. There's a lot of death and doom and such. But even I feel bad for the choices I made for my character. First I marry the love of her life off to the widowed Queen, even though he doesn't really want to be King. Then he breaks up with her, because he can't be honorable and carry on his love affair. Then my poor Warden rejects offers of salvation and goes off to slay the Archdemon alone without any Warden buddies. So then she dies, and there's a sad funeral cut scene and Alistair doesn't even cry. Poor Warden. Maybe I'll replay all that and make some different choices.

The later I go to bed, the earlier I wake up. The earlier I go to bed, the later I sleep. It makes no sense. So I got up at 7am and played through the end game of Dragon Age. I'm feeling a bit perfectionist, so I may run through some of it a couple more times to unlock every possible ending. That and I feel terrible for killing my Warden off after causing her to lose her relationship. Sad, sad, sad.

I have The second part, Awakenings, to play through as well. So many hours of video game time. Don't even ask me how many hours I've put into this. I play more Dragon Age than I work in a given week, haha!

I've just started my third play-through. It's kind of scary how engaging this game is for me. I just want to roll around in it for days on end.

My Dalish rogue sacrificed himself in the end. My Human mage got it on with Morrigan. Both of them supported Alistair's rule.

No idea what my Dwarven warrior will get up to yet, but she's pretty good at taking care of herself.

(Also, I'm enjoying all the jokes I can make about submitting myself to the taint. Gods, that hasn't gotten old yet.)

It really does draw you in to its tainted folds. Harhar. I've never been much for "play for hours at a time" with most console games until I met this one. I love Alistair's bad jokes and Morrigan's mean little barbs.

(there is HILARITY is you attempt to romance Morrigan and Leliana at the same time. I am also determined to go back and unlock the foursome option with the lady at the Pearl.)

I haven't mastered the foursome, but my mage got it on with Leliana, Morrigan, and Zevran, as well as an unnamed male prostitute. It was, in short, my "tap that ass" playthrough.

Haha, what is it about playing mages that generates so much sexy time? I was the same way.

When in the brothel, the "my you're a hardened adventurer" line gave me fits.

OMG. You got that too?

I hear if you say "surprise me" sometimes you'll get a nug.

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA nugs.

I sincerely regret getting Leliana the pet nug. Now it hangs around camp squeaking!

What, you don't love adorable, subterranean bunny-pigs?

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
It squeaks and squeaks! Hahahah bunny pigs are for eating.

Have you done the side quest to reunite Oghren with his ex? There's a funny story about a fight with a roast nug...

[identity profile] bodlon.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I have not! I didn't realize there was a quest for that. Jovanka (my Dwarf) will have to give that a try.

Crazy thing is, I would try nug. It looks like an animal that could be pretty tasty.

It's one of those quests that opens up if you talk to them enough at camp.

I bet barbecued nug would be pretty tasty and go well with corn.

Mmm, yeah.

On a related topic, our smaller dog (Gwen) follows me around and likes to stay close, like an itty bitty mabari. I am thinking of mixing up a clay slurry and painting her up...

I demand that you be a Warden for Halloween and paint your dog like a mabari! AWESOME.
