I'm having one of those days where the more news I read, the more ugly and horrifying the world gets. From the frequently retweeted piece about how BP is burning sea turtles alive (gods above it is so upsetting I can't even link to it) to the bigoted, genuinely terrifying insanity of the 2010 GOP platform for Texas Republicans to what I'm reasonably sure is not just a summer cold anymore but the damned bronchitis again...

I sort of want to buy an inflatable pool, a carton of cigarettes and sit on my porch until the sun goes out.

Hahaha, true. Probably a very expensive proposition, and probably counterproductive for the bronchitis.
