Feeling a little better today - now that I have figured out "oh right I've done this before" saved me the copay and a doctor visit while feeling so cranky. It is sort of unnerving to hear your crackling lung noise. I have to say these Chloraseptic MAX lozenges are the best thing for the sort throat ever. Normally I would avoid Chloraseptic because the spray tastes like dead lizards, but the lozenge is remarkably inoffensive. It does taste a little medicinal but it was really not bad. And it works, which is the key point. I stood in the grocery aisle and read the back of every package of lozenges they had, and this one had the strongest/best combo of benzocaine and menthol. I bought a pack of generic non menthol ones that were basically hard candy, just in case I needed something to cut the taste of the medicated ones.

My voice is scratchy, and cuts in and out. Good think I don't have to talk for a living any more.

you know, that's the best description of the Chloraseptic spray I've ever heard. dead lizards, indeed. (it was my mother's sore throat remedy of choice as I was growing up. augh.)

feel better soon!

I wish I could remember what inspired me to that descriptor! It was a mark of my desperation yesterday that I bought the lozenges given how bad regular spray tastes.

I tried to use that gunk for the first time when I had mono. Mostly all it did was trigger my gag reflex and give me the dry heaves.
