sunday movie afternoon

threeplusfireDamn, but that newest Star Trek movie looks amazing on our television. It's only taken me six months to admit that the television was a pretty sweet purchase after all. My favorite parts of that movie are the epic, wide shots of space. They are so beautiful. It's really an enjoyable movie overall.
The pain has subsided at the moment but I fear it is just laying in wait. I am resigning myself to going to the dentist, hopefully tomorrow. Strangely, it always seems to become worse as the day wanes. Even my emergency stash of hydrocodone did nothing during the worst of it. It was that kind of pain that makes you utterly irrational and out of control.
Last week was really, really awful for reasons I don't want to get into except to say I cried and my anxiety is extraordinarily high. I could say I hope this week will be better but I don't think so. I have this wretched dental thing to deal with and another doctor appointment I'm truly dreading. Sometime this should stop sucking, sometime things should get better.
Mike's playing the new Starcraft. It looks perfectly lovely, but I have no desire to play. Alas. Even focusing on reading this month has proven difficult.
