Today's WTFOMGBBQ moment is courtesy of the mail box. I received a nice little packet from Proctor & Gamble with coupons and several samples - of pads and panty liners. Um, what? Weirdest of all, it was addressed to my maiden name. Now I certainly get plenty of random mail addressed to any of the three surnames I've carried and I'm on a market research panel. But that market research stuff comes very clearly from the agency and I've never gotten menstrual products int he mail before. It seems exceptionally weird given the timing.

The car required expensive repair today. The upside is that the problem is fixable and not something I did. Still, I can think of much more exciting ways to spend that much money. I am also without vehicle until tomorrow, which means I have not gone grocery shopping. This is bad because I'm out of caffeine and cream and any number of food items. Thank goodness for the corner store in walking distance.

that's odd, but large companies sometimes do really random mailings - I've received similar stuff in the past as well as samples of baby formula and nylons (neither of which I purchase)

I am quite amused at how many samples I still get of things like diapers and baby formula, when I carefully inform any market researchers that my baby is now going on nine years old.
