So there was a violent murder of a young gay woman and her mother a few days ago which is the sort of hate crime that should rattle the city, the Colorado river and lake levels are lower than the last major drought, fires are burning all around the state, our education system is crumbling because our asshat governor won't take federal funding for it because they want to tell him to actually spend it on schools instead of building an F1 track - and the major headline story on the fucking Statesman is iPad covers. Sigh. Some days I really do despair.

I might. Every year I despair more and more about that paper. I've had a beef with them forever, but in the past couple years they seem to have abandoned even decently spelled copy.

Oh, I heard about the murder case and it's just so so so sad. : (
