wedding in June, at the beach

I filled out my RSVP for Kevin's wedding next month. SO EXCITED. They have made these great webpages for all this and they are filled with hilarious little asides that I can hear in Kevin's voice. I have never met Jaime but I'm so looking forward to getting to know the person he is in love with. They look almost unbearably happy in their photos. It's like looking at the sun. (I would so slap a picture up here but it is all password protected and I wouldn't want to ignore their privacy despite my desire to show everyone. Just trust me.) They're getting married at the beach, and there will be baklava AND wedding cake. YAY.

I need to find a tie. A TIE, WHY DO I NOT HAVE A TIE TO WEAR TO KEVIN'S WEDDING? I also want to acquire a new tie for Mike, because I completely mistrust his taste in ties. I've looked over Think Geek's tie selection. But I call on you friends, countrymen, Romans and LJers, to tell me where the most bad ass ties are right now. (I am thinking my shirt is a dark green with some white, basically like this one. Wedding attire is semi-formal.)

How about bolo ties? I *ahem* make them, and they aren't your grandpa's ties by a long stretch. (Come out to the Violet Crown Festival tomorrow and I'll show you...)

White silk tie, no patterning, against the green shirt you mentioned. Works like magic. Patterns and designs are for fools and frustrated IT directors. Go solid.
