window shopping

It occurred to me this year that I have almost nothing in the way of formal wear, so I've slowly acquired a few things here and there. I am currently shopping for ties and bow ties. This of course requires a poll.

(Once upon a time, I had a gorgeous three piece suit. It was grey with a gold pinstriped vest. I loved it so much. I was fourteen.)

I'm inclined to the diagram one because I like the intensity of the pattern. I like the idea of the peacock and bee ties, but I wish they were a bit brighter.

Shrug? Honestly, I love a good tie, but I cannot imagine print and tie meeting in anything other than bloodsplosions of despair. I don't even really like striped ties anymore. Solids.
