I noticed while checking into my notifications and such that this will be entry #7,000 here. While it would be nice to mark that even number with something pithy and brilliant, I don't feel it happening. I've started and erased a couple things, and decided it will ultimately be an essay about how the years in which I converted and tried to convince myself I wanted to spend my life as a Catholic woman raising children were some of the most self hating, destructive years of my life. The topic is rather exhausting though and I've already waded through a shitstorm on another forum I belong to this morning. Internet drama is like drinking too much - it seems so fun and hilarious and then you get stuck with the hangover and broken things afterward.

On the brighter side, the sun has finally come out. It's a nice day out there and I spent some time flopped in the new hammock, reading a book about Idina Sackville and getting some vitamin D. I ate an orange and a bunch of olives and some almonds. Planning out my Pi Day pie making and various chores.

I had Rick look through some "Cooking for Two" magazines I have, to pick things I could make that he would actually be interested in eating. Key lime pie was one of the things he flagged, so I guess I know what I'm making for pi day.

I haven't figured out if/what I want to do for St. Patrick's day yet... for me, pi approximation day is much more conveniently timed for baking projects.

This right here explains SO MUCH about the Internet!

It really seems like an apt metaphor.

Fulfilling dreams...

First, you never have to "add" brilliance to your writing. You share that light with others no matter how high you rise or deep you go. As for pithiness, http://www.wowhead.com/item=9420 has you covered.
