My wonderful friend
brienze took me out to eat barbeque for lunch at one of the many little places tucked around town. It's not famous or fancy or considered the height of the culinary genre. But it is as delicious and familiar as barbeque should be, a beautiful cultural chain down through generations. Plus they gave me a free brownie. You can't go wrong! I ate a smoky chopped beef sandwich with the crispiest fried okra ever and a creamy cole slaw, all washed down with iced tea. It was a good way to ring in the springtime!
Then we visited the cake supply shop, to buy sprinkles and random stuff. I found a pear shaped cookie cutter! Then I bought a new spatula. Yay.

Speaking of which, would you like some chocolate molds, etc.? I had a brief passion but now it's just taking up space in my teeny kitchen.

This looks like something else you'd love, even if it isn't pear-shaped :)

It's my favorite bbq restaurant in town because it's Texas style, smoked bbq. The pulled pork sandwich tastes like home. :)
