So today I had my consult with a surgeon about top surgery. It is happening on the 17th, which is less than two weeks away. I didn't expect it to happen to fast, but there you go. I'm really, really fucking excited. Goodbye life of sports bras and sadness, hello new chest.

That's so amazing! How long does it take? What's the recovery supposed to be like? What will they do with your old boobs? (okay, probably inappropriate, but I'm insanely curious) I'm so happy for yoooouuuuuu!

Well, I'm assuming like most other medical waste it will be incinerated. Thank goodness for that. The surgery itself only takes an hour or two, and recovery overall is about four to six weeks with the first week being the hardest.

I'm glad you're getting this done now. The older I get, the longer it takes to heal, it seems.

If you need emergency sushi brought to you by weeks 3-6, just let me know. I hope boredom is the worst thing you'll have to deal with. =)
