amensia is scary

I bought the most recent Humble Bundle of games, and one of the included games was Amnesia. I remember now why I don't usually play horror games. I scream. A lot. And die. A lot. My gamer friend was probably pissing himself laughing every time I shrieked into the microphone. It's a single player game, but we started playing at the same time and were chatting the whole way through.

... there was an invisible monster in a flooded basement, okay? It was HORRIFYING.

Then I begged for a break and went outside to the hammock to try and recover. I came back in and then Mike scared the hell out of me by appearing silently. I had not heard him come home at all. I may have screeched "FUCK" very loudly.

So yeah, I guess that was at least my money's worth right there. Too bad I won't stop playing before I have nightmares.

It is a *fantastic* game. It is also one of the few games I've played that gave me nightmares.

I can't *wait* for the sequel they're working on (apparently to be called Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs)

I guess at least you know Mike's not a monster, because you can look at him without going insane. Right? Right?

I really want to know what happens. But I'm also terrified of finishing this game. Aaaaa.

That's true... I was able to look at him without getting all woozy and losing my mind. He really needs to wear a bell around the house though. He's always startling me!
