It is an odd sort of day here. The sky is clouded, but thinly and in pale greys. At times the sun shines through like a white disc and there are no real shadows. It feels a bit otherworldly, walking down the empty streets of my neighborhood. No one is outside. Not even cars driving past, though in the middle distance I can hear sirens. It's hot, but sometimes there is a stray coolness. An odd, surreal sort of day that feels more like a dream. I half wonder if I am still asleep.

I thought this week was meant to be bright empty skies and high temperatures. But there's something blowing through now with harsh gusts of wind and darker clouds.
