threeplusfireThere is nothing like that feeling of flying down the highway in the dark with your favorite song blasting through the speakers.
Even my beautiful new boots couldn't save my feet tonight and I expect to wake up with blisters on my toes. I danced like a man possessed tonight, for hours, because they played every song I love. My favorite VNV Nation song ever, and I stood in the middle of the light and the sound was so loud I felt the boards under my feet vibrating. I spun and stomped and flung my arms up in the air with great joy. I felt alive, painfully, gloriously alive. It was everything I wanted and nothing hurt because there was only the song.
It was a good night. It was a very good night. I could not have asked for better, except perhaps the company of my favorite DJ to dance with. But there were beautiful people dancing and drinks and the conversation of great fandom geekiness and spicy food and sex and weightlifting and gender with some people I've seen a couple times now. It was exactly what I needed.
Time now for a shower because I am covered in sweat and smoke.
