threeplusfireLast night I drank too many vodka tonics, danced to my favorite Covenant song, hugged my favorite bartender and realized I've been on livejournal so long. Twelve years and I'm still here.
In my closet I found my high school boyfriend's sweater. Don't ask me how I've managed to hang onto that for fifteen years. I remember his dad did the laundry while his mother was out of town and shrunk the sweater. I ended up with it because Michael was tall and it didn't fit anymore. I haven't fit into this sweater since my early twenties. I'm wearing it right now. It's a nice sweater.
I'm so lucky to still be alive.

Sparkles did a piano version of this song recently, and I love it. I stand outside, staring up at the night sky listening to it. Area 11 is one of my new favorite bands.
My Yuletide story this year was Campari, Over Ice for the fandom of that amazing Campari commercial of gender bending awesomeness. I took a wild gamble with this idea I've been kicking around for weeks and by some magic stroke of luck managed to nail it for my recipient. I feel so glad that I was able to make someone's Yuletide special.
