mah-johngg and AI
Jan. 11th, 2001 02:32 pmI came in early so when I leave I won't have to come back til Monday. A risky thing in this time of uncertainty, but I just don't want to be at work right now. Too much weirdness.
Stayed up til 4am at Metro talking and playing mah-johngg. Melynda's friend was something like those ditzy irritating high school girls I remember; I don't know if it was an act or her normal personality. I do like hanging out with Karen and Jim. We click, it's pleasant to feel that. Jim and I talked about robots and AI, the machine learning curve and all that good stuff.
Driving home was bizarre, so much thick fog that it seemed like the end of the world only thirty feet in front of my car.
