(no subject)

The terrible feeling when you wake up from a nightmare, the harsh juxtaposition of reality and fading dream. I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry for last night.

66 and humid. No fun. My father called to say hi. He always remembers these flowers for my sister and I. I'm not going to government. I just don't care right now. I will go to my Czech classes, go home to see my father this afternoon and then back to school. Cause I'm going to watch Mysteries of the Orgasm tonight. I love the Slavic department.

morning news

Of course Japan is angry. This was incredibly dumb.

This is why I'm going to teach. I have to keep at least one psycho out of a classroom.

another holiday for today

BULGARIA: TRIFON ZAREZAN

Celebrated since ancient times, Trifon Zarezan is also called Vine
Grower's Day or Viticulturists' Day. In a rite based on the cult of
Dionysus, Bulgarian wine growers dress up, prune their vines, and
then sprinkle them with wine. This is meant to ensure a good harvest
in the coming year. A feast follows at which songs and dances are
performed. In some regions, a "Vine King" is chosen.

"Are you here for The Orgasm?" Or, Craig thinks he is awfully funny

I saw the weirdest damn movie at the Slavic Film Series tonight. Mysteries of the Organism. Hats off to Professor C. for being so crazy, and to Professor W. for providing the movie. We had celebrity guests, Russian theater actors visiting us. I talked Warhol into leaving his beloved computer to watch. Damn that movie was weird!! Socialist sex, severed heads, Reich, orgones, madness! My head is still spinning. I'm slightly glad Professor L. wasn't there. Parts of that movie would have made me turn crimson in his presence. Eek. What am I saying, the man makes me blush no matter what. He seems to think it's funny. Damn men who raise their eyebrows while saying suggestive things in Slavic languages. Gets me every time.
