Mar. 4th, 2001 04:53 pmLITHUANIA: SAINT CASIMIR'S DAY
St. Casimir is Lithuania's only saint and his feast day is very
popular in this country. People from throughout Lithuania make a
pilgrimage to Vilnius, where his remains are buried. After religious
services are held, people linger to take part in the St. Casimir's Day
folk crafts fair, which dates back to the 17th century. Find out more
about this Lithuanian national holiday here.

Went to Mass this morning. I think Lent is my favorite season of all. It's hard to explain why, but the message we hear is one I really need to listen to. The sun is finally back today, and it is as lovely as one could wish for.
I helped my parents assemble a 13x7 dog run today for the puppy. Lots of bending metal, and stretching chainlink fence. So when my mom is at work, she won't have to just lock her in a crate. The puppy is so fuzzy and puppy-like, floppy and friendly. She's sable and has a stripe down her back right now, but later she will be dark all over. I miss being around the dogs. Later when I returned from the store with my mom's groceries, my sister was home. She provoked a massive fight with my parents, and tried to steal their car. I was shocked. I really thought my sister was calming down, getting better. Yet today she flipped out on the flimsiest of pretexts, and it reminded me of how scary she was while using drugs. I don't know what is going on. I had to drive my sister's friend home, after she had witnessed the ugly scene between my sister and parents. Sometimes, it amazes me how dumb my sister can act.
I think I just want to make some lemonade, and read Pushkin House. I should read my Kafka again for Czech class too. I'm going to watch The Lone Gunmen tonight, though I just really want to see Mulder again. Don't die Mulder! Doggett isn't nearly as funny as you are.
