a series of nightmares
Aug. 23rd, 2001 09:50 amSleep is more fun when one is not bombarded with disturbing images and scenes.
The first dream centered around my friends George and Suzanne. They were having troubles, and George was under the influence of many chemicals and this odd private detective sort of fellow. I rushed over to Suzanne's apartment, where she and George were fighting. The creepy detective tried to throw me down the stairs when I wanted to intervene.
This melted into a dream where a church sprouted up in place of the Honors dorm inbetween the Tower and the Communications buildings on campus. There were ravens decorating the gates, and more ravens inside the church. I was reading a history book about their significance, when a flustered librarian ran up to the church. She shouted that something had happened to the library, and I could suddenly hear this faint rumble in the air. Rushed over to the Tower and from there I could see that the entire PCL had crumbled and sunk into the ground. The rubmling grew louder.
After the intial shock, and the desire to flee had passed, I walked down to inspect the ruins. Poking a bit of wall with a stick caused it to crack, and this slippery purple worm popped out. It seemed to have been living inside a plate in the wall. It was frantic, trying to escape the light. Tried to find some kind of container for this flatworm of sorts, thinking I was going to send it to someone. Later I learned that the weird worms and other things like mold were spreading around the city, even into the lake. Suzanne and Steven drove me to the CDC so I could show them the worm.
The last bits are hazy. Involving a girl I was once friends with showing up looking for a government text book, a friend getting ice cream, and my professor wanting to talk to me about something. All jumbled up and incoherrent.
No wonder I'm not so coherrent early in the morning.
