Sunday

Today was quite nice. Mass seemed exceptionally beautiful today. Father Elmer read the Scripture in simple form to a gorup of preschoolers and directed his homily at them. I like to see Father with the kids.

Finally I have my person to sponsor! Her name is Wendy and she is a very sweet woman. Has a family, just moved to Austin last week. I'm so excited to be working with her. I finally feel like I'm ready for this, and that I'm going to do well.

Spent about an hour with my mother. When I got to work Eddy informed me I was a half hour late. The schedule was changed sometime between when I copied it down and today. I was pissed off and embarassed to be chewed out for it. I loathe it when the schedule gets changed and no one is notified.

Other than Eddy's general bad mood and rudeness to some other coworkers, today was fine. I shelved books, clearanced and priced. Spent a lot of time with some kids in the children's section. A sweet little girl with many questions who giggled everytime I put a price sticker on her hand. In the evening a nice boy who wanted to help me price books. It was quite nice to be around them, and made my evening go faster.

Making some pasta with mushrooms, thinking I should be doing my Czech homework instead of watching the news and playing on my computer.
