This song says so much of what I'm trying to become, what I am and what I want to be now. I'm terribly happy, and singing along to the cd, and at this moment I have never been more in love or more happy with my life. Yeah, I'm sitting here drinking vodka in ice cold gulps and talking to Gene, and listening to the cd, watching my world move around in circles so far out in space.

Where is Melynda? We're supposed to be doing brunch. And why do I always fall asleep in the shower when I've had too much to drink and wake up in the shivering cold? One of these days I'm going to drown in there.

It's beautiful outside, and I would like to play. I need to unpack my bedroom today, I've decided.

Melynda's mother took us to lunch at Houstons, and we went off to have our feet ritually cleaned and painted. I believe it's called a pedicure. Strange, strange experience. My nails are now a nice gun metal gray, and I'm finally unpacking my books. I hope to finish tonight, amongst other things.

bloodlust

We're watching Dracula 2000, which is one of my favorite bad vampire movies. Gerard Butler some how gets one hell of a coat with that first fresh blood, and it's all down hill from there. A pity Omar Eps doesn't get more screen time.

I almost rented Girl on a Bridge or Ghost World but I didn't feel up to serious film tonight. Maybe sometime later this week.

We're all so much more complicated than our names.
