work tomorrow

I stayed out too late. But I was having a wonderful conversation with an interesting fellow from LJ, and I didn't want to leave. It's always good to meet people who speak more than one language, especially when it coincides with one I know. Random spiraling conversation that included politics and families and music and all things interesting. I hope to see more of him.

Gods, I should go home and sleep. Driving home with the Counting Crows blasting. Metro magic. I'm feeling better.

What a day. A relief in so many ways.

So, work this morning. They have an adorable Russian Blue that is so friendly. I carried him around on my shoulder while I was working, and he purred away. Today I packed lots of sacks of corks, and helped put together beer making kits. Lots of grains and grinding and hops and yeast and such. A lot of the work involves packing up orders from all over the country. This is where I work now, St. Patrick's of Texas.

The ever wonderful Cate is coming to town tomorrow for lunch, and then I'm going out to the Little House to relax this weekend. I can't wait. She has the most beautiful home, with a garden and a hottub. Delight.

The excitement of work caused me to completely miss the fact that today is National Coming Out Day. It's also the first year in a long time that I haven't been down on campus and listened to speeches that were sometimes prosaic, sometimes extraordinary and always heartfelt.

Because I don't think I've ever declared it in writing, though I know I've said it out loud: I am bisexual. I like women and men.

I'm drinking a beer and watching A Perfect Murder, with all those cool shots of the Met's Egypt Wing. Life, at this moment, is grand.
