you wouldn't believe the things we do
Nov. 28th, 2002 11:47 pmMy day. Potato peeling, domnio playing, a Monopoly game, Thanksgiving dinner, pie, movies. It was the first time I've ever played a Monopoly game all the way through on a board, and after dubious beginnings, I even managed to win. It's all about utilities and Boardwalk, I think.
On the way home, we spent almost our entire time on I-10 chasing a Ford Expedition. From about Katy to the exit for Hwy 71, we were chasing them at about 85 to 90 mph. Because I noticed they had a ceiling mounted television screen, and it was showing Harry Potter. Melynda and I decided we really needed to see Harry Potter while we driving home, so we pursued them, and got up to the Quidditch scene before they took the road towards San Antonio. I wonder if those poor people were speeding so badly because they noticed us following them. There was a lot of traffic though.
The rest of the mad drive was spent singing along to the radio and to Russian pop. It's cold out there. Thankfully, Gene left the heat on so we're warm now, and Melynda is playing Kingdom Hearts and I'm reveling in my laptop's presence again. We ought to be going to bed, since we're getting up insanely early and heading down to the Alumni Center before the game. Gods, it's freaky to think about having a degree. I'm old. But no, we're going to stay up playing games. Hah. We're still irresponsible kids sometimes.
