On the list of things I never want to do again....

I was sitting in the chair in the center of the living room, typing away in two very serious discussions when I felt a tickle on my hair line. Which I thought was hair coming out of my Edwardian boy ponytail, but was actually a giant evil ant. Aaaaaaaa.

I am now paranoid and twitchy.

I wish you could see me now, because it's something. Driving fast down back grounds in my mother's larger than life Explorer, with the windows down, and it is seventy five under a robin's egg sky. The wind pulls my hair into waves, and I have these sunglasses on, and these clothes I love. Green pants and the dark grey sleeveless turtleneck, with my boots and my silver watch, these rings on my left hand. I'm trying to sing along and light my cigarette at the same time, and in the parking lot I flirted with a fifteen year old boy loading groceries into his father's Jaguar. I have a copy of Premiere magazine on the seat beside me, and the interview with Viggo Mortensen is one of the most humorous things ever, especially when he's talking about how he should play Brad Pitt's lover, and Orlando Bloom waxes poetic about chasing him barefoot through a river under the moon.

On days like these I'm happy in this skin, even if it doesn't quite match the voices in the my head and I don't have a sword. I'm perfecting the art of driving and hanging my head out the window to look up at the moon.

From this article, randomly stumbled across.

Susan Shwartz, 52, who works at a financial services firm in Manhattan, sounds quite logical as she explains that ''Viggo Mortensen is an actor, not Aragorn, and I'm self-disciplined enough to separate the man from the role when I'm outside the theater.'' But once inside, ''I don't so much suspend disbelief as joyously throw it away.''

The moon is wreathed in high cirrus clouds, striations of pale grey over the yellowing orb high in the dark blue night sea. In the darkness of my living room, the movie plays in widescreen, and I remember somewhere I read that he made all these paintings for the movie.
