Felt very lazy today.

Work was productive. I accomplished more tonight than on Friday, and I feel like I'm getting the hang of it all, to start. There were only a couple things I did wrong tonight, and it was confidence building. Colorado's not a bad state to work on, it's fairly straightforward.

Home now watching Harry Potter for the umpteen millionth time. It's a staple in this house. Spent a lot of the day discussing the psychological development of our characters in Lumos Nox and that is the part I find most fascinating. The people I work most often with are completely into that, so I'm happy.

Hungry, hungry me.

When I drove home at four this morning, the moon was so bright I could see clearly without my headlights. I stood in the driveway, smoking and staring at the sky. The halo round the moon was bigger than I've ever noticed before, and there were sounds on the wind. It was cold and beautiful and I almost called someone before I realized that it was extremely early and that might just be a bit weird. "Hi, I wanted to share this absolutely gorgeous night sky with you, which I realize you can't see because you're snowed under in New York right now." But it felt like something more than real, and the moonlight was the color of Lothlorien in the films.

Jim woke me up at 9am with a phone call. I felt terrible, but when he said he was in trouble I sat up and tried to be coherent for him. Something he thought he paid off a year ago has come up again and the bank is threatening to sue him if he didn't come up with the money by the end of the day. He was miserable and sad, and I tried to convince him to see someone to help straighten out his finances and work stuff out in the hopes that the bank is just bluffing to try and get him to cough up money.

My head aches, for some unknown reason. It may just be the interrupted sleep, or squinting at maps. Could be the cold.
