Metro nights

It's hard to ever want to leave when the music is so good. They went through a cd's worth of Pretty Hate Machine remixes, and then the Pixes, and when I finally left it was during the extended Bowie hour. It was beautiful and exactly as it should be.

I played cards, talked with Melynda, Micah, James, Anthony, Al and Elisa. There were a bunch of high school kids in prom clothes, and people playing chess with a hookah, and assorted random characters. It was just pleasant, and I felt wired and happy in my black sparkly outfit and boots and freshly dyed hair.

Audrey Hepburn breaks my heart in the beginning of Sabrina. I love this movie.

Fan-fucking-tastic day.

Melynda and I woke up to get our hair cuts. We are now beautiful short haired women, and it was an absolutely lovely day. Gorgeous weather. Lunch at La Madeline, potato gallette and strawberries romanoff, and then to Metro for cards and coffee. Now we're watching Gosford Park.

And I have had so many damn good moments of conversation today.
