It's in the seventies outside, and I went walking in my pajamas, just to enjoy the flat bladed grass under my feet, wet and cold and so very green. It's gorgeous for a Texas summer. I wonder if we will get more storms tonight.
I stood outside at work the other night after my late smoke break, and there was a scattered flash of raindrops. The smell of water and warm concrete, dust and grass never ceases to make me stop. If any one smell could remind me of home, or of Texas, that would have to be it. I've been in the rain in other states and other countries and it doesn't smell the same.
Going to clean the house today, and then make pie and watch movies and be extraordinarily lazy.
